Siberian Gold Quartz is a variety of quartz that displays a radiant, yellow to golden hue, achieved through a combination of natural and human-enhanced processes. This gemstone is not found in nature but is produced by heat-treating amethyst, a member of the quartz family, with iron-rich compounds which impart its distinctive golden color. Despite its name suggesting a Siberian origin, this process does not confine itself to any single geographical location. The quartz itself, primarily composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2), has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, making it durable and suitable for various types of jewelry. Its color not only makes it sought after for its aesthetic appeal but also for its purported metaphysical properties, such as the enhancement of optimism and the ability to increase one’s personal sense of empowerment.
